Meet our Herd

We have 9 lovely Boerperd horses who are well looked after, happy horses. they have a gentle nature and know their work. They have a very easy-going life, only doing trails.

Salt is an absolute star with the children, while Rain and Simon are the favourites for those going for a canter afterwards.

We have two guides on each ride – one taking the lead, and the other looking after beginners at the back who need a bit of extra help. Dust is our lead horse, and boss of the herd, and so it is usually Ice or Breeze who are helping at the back.

Having two guides also allows us to split up at the end if we have a mixed group of guests where the advanced riders want to go for a canter, while the beginners walk home quietly.
