Meet our Herd

We have 10 lovely Boerperd horses, and 3 Percheron crossbreeds,  who are well looked after, happy horses. they have a gentle nature and know their work. They have a very easy-going life, only doing trails.

Dust is the boss of the herd, and is usually at the back of the ride, helping keep everyone moving, though Nantes – his giant sized clone, is fast taking over! Salt, Moon and Jonah are absolute stars with the tiny  children, while Simon is everyone’s favourite – with one of our newer boys, Rupert sneaking into that role (and guests’ hearts) very quickly. Ice is super smart, and very animated – think Maximus from Tangled (ask your kids, they’ll know who that is!) and you’ll usually find him up front as he has a job to do and he is going to do it – no time for waiting around! His favourite job is helping to open the gate if one of the guides is riding him.  Chikka has been our strongest horse until the 3 new boys arrived, so he is taking it slower now. Breeze is our Mr Independent and absolutely fearless.  Bismarck, also new is taking a little longer to gain his confidence in the group but eager to please. Aragon is our little pocket rocket, and you’ll see him leading the ride as the guide’s horse. Rain is always number two on the ride – and he can count so don’t take his place!
