Enter our 240-hectare wildlife sanctuary on horseback and encounter zebra, springbok, eland, gemsbok, kudu, giraffe, wildebeest, bontebok, and a wide variety of birdlife.
No riding experience is needed — this activity is fun for the whole family! Bring your friends or family and enjoy a safe, guided adventure through breathtaking scenery. Our experienced guides ensure that everyone feels comfortable and has a memorable ride.
We offer three guided horse trail options:
- 1.5 hour ride through the wildlife sanctuary
- 2 hour ride through the wildlife sanctuary
- 3 hour ride which includes the wildlife sanctuary ride followed by a ride through the vineyards and wine tasting (including standard wine tasting. Any additional purchases are payable directly to the wine estate)
Riding Experience
All levels of riding experience
Our gentle horses are ideal for all levels of experience and we often have riders who have never even sat on a horse who thoroughly enjoy our trail experience. Our horses know their jobs and have been doing the trails for several years.
Riding Pace
Due to the nature of the environment, this is a walking pace ride only. Our focus is enjoying wildlife on horseback. If you're looking for a faster paced ride there are other lovely places to visit. Thank you for your understanding.
Meet Your Guide
Deirdre Gower
Deirdre has been guiding the trails since 2014 and is a registered nature guide, qualified through FGASA (Field Guides Association of Southern Africa).
